This beautiful antique 9ct Yellow Gold Suffragette Victorian ring is Circa 1900.

A central Amethyst sits in a Diamond shaped gallery with Pearls flanked at either side with Peridots in the outer gallery.

This fabulous combination of gemstones represent the Suffragette movement.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!

Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes.
